Research Fellowship of the Federal State of Baden-Württemberg
Since 1986, the state of Baden-Württemberg has funded a professorial research fellowship for Indian academics, enabling two-month long visits per year. To this date it has brought more than fifty scholars from India to Germany. In 2022, this was expanded to scholars from any South Asian country. Scholars are nominated by the SAI departments on a revolving basis, and selected on the basis of a competitive process, to pursue specific research objectives during their visit.
