Muhammad Usman holds a B.A. in Philosophy and an M.A. in Philosophy with a Gold Medal from the University of Punjab. He also earned a second M.A. in Islamic Thought and Civilization on a Merit Scholarship from the University of Management and Technology, Lahore. Additionally, he completed a two-year postgraduate Diploma in 'Advancing Scientific and Theological Literacy' from the University of Notre Dame, Indiana, USA (2019-2021), where he served as a Student Coordinator and Teacher.

Usman has five years of teaching experience in Philosophy, Religious Studies, and Social Studies, including his tenure as a Lecturer at the University of Central Punjab (2016-2021). He enrolled as a PhD candidate at the University of Erfurt in 2021 and worked as a Research Assistant in the Department of Philosophy. He was awarded the prestigious DAAD scholarship (September 2021-2022) for his PhD studies.

In 2023, Usman served as a Research Assistant and Translator at the Max Weber Center for Advanced Cultural and Social Studies, University of Erfurt (February-July 2023). Since October 2023, he has been a PhD candidate with the RTG (Ambivalent Enmity). His doctoral dissertaion is tentatively titled “Dancing to the Hymns: Wagah Border as an Ambivalent Space.”
