Jamshed Haidery

Jamshed Haidery visits the Department of Developmental Economics

Jamshed Haidery is a distinguished faculty member at Kabul University, where he has been a part of the economics faculty since 2008. He has taught various undergraduate courses in statistics, econometrics, and data analysis. His academic journey has taken him across borders, completing his bachelor's degree at Kabul University and pursuing his master's at Bochum University in Germany. Currently, he is furthering his academic pursuits as a Ph.D. scholar at Delhi University.

His research project focuses on the trade performances of landlocked developing countries, with a particular case study on Afghanistan. This study aims to illuminate the unique challenges and opportunities faced by such nations in the global trade landscape. His research interests lie in empirical economics, international economics, econometrics, and data science.

In addition to his academic pursuits, Jamshed holds the prestigious position of a visiting research fellow at the South Asian Institute at Heidelberg University, a program supported by the International Institute of Education Rescue Fund.
